Product basics

What is Feedback Guru? Feedback Guru sends automated review requests to your customers after a purchase or service, then routes them to the review platforms you choose (Google, Yelp, Trustpilot, and 25+ more). You set the percentage of traffic each platform gets. We support **Shopify** (install from the App Store, orders sync automatically) and **Direct** (sign up at app.feedback.guru and add our BCC address to your shipping or service emails).
How do I choose where customers leave reviews? When someone clicks a star rating in your email, Feedback Guru sends them to one of the review URLs you've added in your dashboard. You control which platform your customers are sent to by setting percentages. For example, 70% Google, 20% Yelp, 10% Trustpilot. You can update these percentages anytime in **Review Websites** in the Feedback Guru admin.
Can I send customers to any URL I want? Yes. You can link to any static review URL, including your Google Business Profile, Yelp page, Facebook reviews, TripAdvisor listing, BBB profile, Trustpilot page, or Sitejabber. Even a specific product review URL on Amazon. If the platform gives you a direct link where customers can leave a review, you can add it in Feedback Guru.
Do I need coding or theme changes? No. Feedback Guru works without any code or theme edits. **Shopify:** Install the app and add your review URLs. **Direct:** Add our BCC address to your shipping or service confirmation emails. Set it once and let it run. Every order (or BCC'd email) becomes a chance for more public reviews.
Does Feedback Guru replace my product review app? No. Feedback Guru complements your existing product review tool. It focuses on growing **store-level** reviews across the web (Google, Yelp, etc.), while your product review app captures reviews on individual items on your site.

Shopify: subscription and app removal

How do I unsubscribe or cancel my Feedback Guru subscription on Shopify? Feedback Guru on Shopify uses a standard Shopify-managed subscription. To cancel: 1. In your **Shopify admin**, go to **Settings → Apps and sales channels** (or **Apps**). 2. Open **Feedback Guru** (or click **Manage** next to it). 3. Use the option to **Cancel subscription** or **Unsubscribe** (wording may vary). After you cancel, your subscription remains active until the **end of the current billing period**. Review request emails will continue to be sent until that date. Once the period ends, the app will stop sending new requests unless you resubscribe.
How do I remove the Feedback Guru app from my Shopify store? To remove the app entirely from your store: 1. In your **Shopify admin**, go to **Settings → Apps and sales channels** (or **Apps**). 2. Find **Feedback Guru** and click it. 3. Click **Uninstall** (or **Remove app**). Confirm when prompted. Uninstalling removes the app and its connection to your store. If you had an active subscription, cancel the subscription first (see above) if you want to avoid being charged for the next period. After removal, Feedback Guru will no longer receive order data or send review requests for that store.

Direct and general

How do I cancel my subscription (Direct or non-Shopify)? If you signed up at [app.feedback.guru](https://app.feedback.guru) (Direct integration), billing is through Feedback Guru. Cancel from your account or billing settings in the app. Your access and review requests continue until the end of the current billing period; after that, the service stops unless you resubscribe.
Is my data secure? Yes. We take privacy and security seriously. We adhere to Shopify's Data Protection Requirements when you use the Shopify integration, and we follow standard practices for data in transit (TLS) and at rest.
